7 Lawmakers, Ex-PDP Chairman Dump PDP for APC

A political earthquake is sweeping through the landscape courtesy of the Broom Revolution from the APC and it is hitting so hard that you can't but notice its effect. As you read this, a former chairman of PDP, Alhaji Yaro Audi Makama has led 74 strong stakeholders of the party in Kaduna State, including seven former members of the State House of Assembly, to the All Progressives Congress.
Those who defected from the PDP said: "We are here to announce to the world that we have decided to dump the PDP to join the APC, because we believe in the dreams and manifestos of the APC. Our target is to dislodge PDP come 2015 in Kaduna State.
"Our dear state has suffered and is still suffering from underdevelopment, infrastructural decay, lack of peace and unity and distrust as a result of bad governance from the PDP.”
Already, the PDP had recently lost one of its powerful stakeholders and a former gubernatorial aspirant, Alhaji Suleiman Hukunyi to the APC.

Alhaji Yaro, a former PDP chairman in the state, along with another former chairman of the PDP said they decided to join the APC to save Kaduna State from total collapse.

Interim chairman of the APC and retired federal permanent secretary Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed received the defectors. He said, “We are very happy to receive the prominent members of the PDP. They have realised that the future belongs to APC."
